Named ADAMI Classical Revelation 2021 at the age of 20, Paul Zientara has already won several international competitions: 3rd prize at the prestigious Lionel Tertis Competition on the Isle of Man, Grand Prix of the Safran Foundation, 1st prize at the Épernay String Competition, 3rd prize at the Festival Musical d'Automne des Jeunes Interprètes... He began playing the viola at the age of 7 with Yves Pruvot at the Conservatoire de Yerres. After two years at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris in the class of Françoise Gnéri, he was admitted at the age of 16 to the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris in the class of Sabine Toutain and Christophe Gaugué. Paul had the opportunity to perfect his skills with masters such as Tabea Zimmermann, Gérard Caussé, Tatjana Masurenko, Bruno Pasquier, Nils Mönkemeyer, Claire Désert, the Ebene Quartet and Laurent Korcia. He regularly participates in various international academies and masterclasses including the Kronberg Academy Festival, Anton Rubinstein Academy in Düsseldorf, Internationale Musikakademie in Liechtenstein. He has also performed as a soloist on several occasions with the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, L'Orchestre Colonne, La Nouvelle Europe, the Symphonie de poche, the COGE... In addition, Paul has had as chamber music partners : Renaud Capuçon, Gérard Caussé, Valeriy Sokolov, François Salque, Pierre Fouchenneret, Jérôme Pernoo, Marc Coppey, Adam Laloum, Emmanuel Strosser, Adrien Boisseau, Liya Petrova, Adrien La Marca, Jérôme Ducros, Jérémy Menuhin, Victor Julien-Laferrière, Nicolas Baldeyrou... He has performed at the Festival de La Roque-d'Anthéron, at the Festival de Pâques de Deauville, at the Centre de Musique de Chambre de Paris, at the Pianissimes, at the Festival Idéal au Potager du Roi de Versailles, at the Sonates d'Automne de Loches, at the Festival Pablo Casals in Prades, with the Collectif Fractales, within the Association Jeunes Talents... In November 2021, he was invited by Renaud Capuçon to the Nouveaux Horizons festival where he performed various contemporary creations including a work by Diana Soh in a viola duet with Gérard Caussé. He regularly plays in duo with the organist Vincent Warnier who recently composed "Légende", a work for viola and organ dedicated to Paul. They performed the premiere in October 2020. In March 2021, Michel Le Naour wrote an article about Paul in the magazine Classica. He also appears in other media such as France Musique, Diapason, Arte Concert, Bachtrack.
