Korean violinist Mi-Sa Yang was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. Mi-Sa was admitted to the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris (cnsmdp) in chamber music after having completed his studies with Olivier CHARLIER and Jean-Jacques KANTOROW in the "Violin Concertiste" development cycle at the CNSMDP.

Mi-Sa has been awarded in various international competitions: 1er Prize at the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for young violinists in 2000. 3st Prize and Special Jury Prize at the Sendai International Music Competition in 2001. 1er Prize in trio (piano, violin and cello) at the 55th International Maria Canals Music Competition in Barcelona in 2009.

Since her beginnings with orchestra at the age of 12 in Japan, she has performed with prestigious groups (Suk Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Sendaï Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyôto Symphony Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Century Orchestra Osaka), at the same time as she performs in recital.

In 2018, she performed in concerto with Sinfonia Varsovia in the Scottish Fantasy in E flat major opus 46 from Bruch to the Folle Journée in Nantes, Yekaterinburg and Japan. She also performs there in recital with pianist Jonas Vitaud.

She founded with Adam Laloum and Victor Julien-Laferrière the Trio with piano Trio Les Esprits with which she performs at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, at the Klavier-Festival-Ruhr, at La Folle Journée de Nantes, at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festspiele, at the Théâtre d'Arras, at the Théâtre de la Criée in Marseille, at Radio France as part of Stéphane Goldet's “Lettres Intimes” program, at the Théâtre de Saint Nazaire, at the Soirées Musicales de Tours, at the Festival de Menton and at Musical Nights of Morbihan.

Since 2014, she has been a member of the Ardeo Quartet which has been selected by ECHO "Rising Star" 2014. The quartet has already had the opportunity to play in the biggest halls of Europe: the Concertgebouw of Amsteram, the Wiener Konzerthaus , the Philharmonie de Paris and the Kölner Philharmonie. In 2018, the Ardeo Quartet will perform in particular at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord and at the Musikfest Bremen. A recording of the Goldberg Variations (transcription for string quartet by François Meïmoun) was released in May 2018 for the IBSclassical label.

The two discs of the Trio les Esprits released by Mirare in 2014 and 2017 have received critical acclaim. A Schubert album for Sony Music and an album dedicated to Mozart's sonatas will soon be released, in duet with Jonas Vitaud.
