Yann Walcker
Invited to the 2017 Books & Music Festival
Yann Walcker was born in 1973 in Paris. After studying graphic arts at the Penninghen workshop, he turned to writing and published his first book, L'Alphabet des grands musiciens, with Gallimard Jeunesse. Winner of the Bologna Prize and the Belgian Youth Booksellers' Prize, he has written about fifty books to date. Some of them, acclaimed by the press and translated into many languages, are used in teaching. He is notably the author of the series Igor petit vampire and of the collection Le tube des tout-petits.
Yann Walcker is also a lyricist, composer, and works for various performers of the French scene.
