During the Tout commence à Touques! guided tour, the origins of the town are revealed, from Charlemagne to the present day, via the Vikings, Thomas Becket, the Dukes of Normandy and Gustave Flaubert.
For a more leisurely tour of Touques and the surrounding area, the Touques hike along the Haras de Meautry winds its way between one of France's best-known stud farms, fields, horses, manor houses and the Ruisseau des Ouïs.
More focused on architecture, a one-hour walking tour takes you through the narrow streets, past the covered market, into the presbytery garden and past the washhouses.
