Though he was headed for a career as a restaurant owner, he has been competing and winning several races in the featherweight category (less than 44 kg) in flat races for 32 years. When he retired, he decided to pass on his knowledge to young riders and became a trainer at the jockey school (AFASEC), then spotter at the Deauville-Clairefontaine racecourse. What’s a spotter?
This job consists in notifying any race accident from the racecourse track. He also shares his passion for horses during guided tours. Sometimes, he is accompanied by Louis Auriemma, also known as Luigi, former jockey too and coach of future competitors. These big names in the world of horses will be your guides for two hours at the heart of the racecourse they know by heart, telling you stories and anecdotes.

Appointment from 10 am (or 2 pm on semi-night race days) at the weight scale to discover the official weight of jockeys and the horse world, including the thrill preceding competitions!
