Winter vacations :

sporting, entertaining and creative

Spread over a month, the first vacations of the year mark the occasion with 30 days of non-stop entertainment. Theater that rhymes with poetry, rides on four-legged or four-wheeled mounts, sports galore, do-it-yourself workshops to let your imagination run wild, and experiments of all kinds will cheerfully enliven the inDeauville area from February 10 to March 10.

Theater and shows

Laugh-out-loud stand-up comedy contests, intriguing plays full of twists and turns and incredible adventures, magic shows where the marvelous mingles with the fantastic, music-hall-style dinners to the rhythm of disco... More than a dozen shows parade across the stage to the delight of our zygomatic muscles. There's something for every taste, age and budget.

Tours and walks

These can be places not to be missed, such as the Villa Strassburger - the majestic Deauville mansion that arouses the curiosity of passers-by - or Villers-sur-Mer and its history since its creation; or they can be outings to get up close and personal with the animals, in the saddle of a horse, aboard a horse-drawn carriage or armed with binoculars to observe the birds of the Marais de Blonville-Villers. And for a change of scenery, there's nothing like a buggy ride through the Auvergne countryside, an all-terrain electric scooter or a bike tour of the Côte Fleurie.

If the winter vacations are the perfect opportunity to fill up on activities, the events program is not to be outdone! The general public is warmly invited to discover the world in miniature at the Salon du Modélisme, watch the exploits of horse-ball players, travel the galaxy from the Paléospace planetarium and follow the momentum of horses in full ascension at a show jumping competition.

Creative hobbies

For (re)creative vacations, ideas abound! The best way to keep your mind and fingers busy, manual workshops nurture creativity and curiosity, whatever the chosen theme. In the calendar, which leaves plenty of room for inventiveness, you'll find: all sorts of digital tools for manipulating robotics, a pinch of culinary workshops for budding little chefs - with a pastry chef's hat on, the notes of a first musical composition, making a snowball or designing a garment from a pattern.

Sports activities and courses

Far from school obligations, inDeauville sports activities are designed to be fun, joyful and family-oriented. For a brief moment or for a whole week, all durations are possible: a short hour is enough for anintroduction to archery, while half a day is ideal for enjoying the dynamism of the children's clubs. And if you'd like to specialize in a particular sport, padel, tennis and golf courses are available for the younger ones. Looking for something different? Join us for a giant yoga session within the walls of a former convent, or for an evening of fluorescent tennis in the half-light of a musical night.

And horse riding?

A land of horses, inDeauville is home to a number of equestrian centers and stud farms where riding is taught every day, all year round. So we've dedicated a special paragraph to it!

You can choose to experience horses for the first time, in a lesson or on a ride, on the back of a pony or held in the hand. Pony baptisms enable children and their parents todiscover riding in complete safety;ponies of all sizes, coats and origins are chosen for their docility. For riders of all levels, riding lessons can be given in groups or privately, for one or more hours. Finally, there's the longer, more advanced format of the course. A highlight of the school vacations, it teaches children how to prepare horses, how to get in touch with them before riding them, how to develop their knowledge of the equestrian world and how to prepare for their gallop exams.
