Since the creation of the American Film Festival in 1975, the history of Deauville has been punctuated by leading cultural and event initiatives. They will resonate with the Franciscans. Some shows will take place in its auditorium installed in the Chapel, festivals and major international events will find their extension there, others will settle there.

Six festivals punctuate the Deauville cultural calendar today:

> the American Film Festival,
> the Easter Music Festival and the Musical Trump, which since 1996 has welcomed young soloists in residence;
> the “winter” cultural season
> the Books & Music festival which explores the links between words and notes every year
> the “Planches Contact” festival, a festival of photographic creation.

Artists' residences - a dozen a year - will also be able to flourish in an adapted environment, favorable to meetings with the public.

The Franciscans will also experience the other pulsations of the city, sport, major horse racing, or economic events will be as many opportunities to create meeting and sharing, primary values of the territory.

And each week, the place offers meetings from morning to evening for residents, associations and residents (readings, events, screenings, meetings ...) ... who can also take the initiative.
