For three months, the city vibrates to the rhythm of the strides of the best horses and exceptional competitions: the prestigious races of the Meeting de Deauville Barrière, the Meeting de Deauville Barrière, the theme days of Clairefontaine, the sales of yearlings of Arqana recognized in the world, the three-star Longines Deauville Classic show jumping competition, the Barrière Deauville Polo Cup international polo championship… Professionals, enthusiasts, neophytes and families, everyone is invited to enjoy an equestrian summer.
The Jump'in Deauville, a springboard to the top
This international show jumping competition launches the horse show season every year and focuses on the high level to attract the best French riders. Under the colors of their flag, the riders compete on the 18 tests Jump'in techniques, with bars oscillating between 1m10 and 1m45. A real springboard for future international champions, the competition once again welcomes some of the best drivers from France and Normandy. With twenty nations on the track, 100 competitors and 400 horses engaged, the Jump'in offers the public an explosive cocktail combining sport and festivities. The event has three levels: a CSI1*, for an CSI2* and, for amateur French riders, a stage of the federal circuit called "Amateurs Gold Tour FFE – Esthederm". The highlight of these four days of competition, the Sunday Grand Prix afternoon which crowns the best rider and his best mount!

Le Pôle International du Cheval Longines - Deauville celebrates the 10 years of Dress'in Deauville, his not-to-be-missed dressage event, which occasionally brings together 78 of the greatest riders from fifteen nations. Harmony, precision, elegance and complicity are some of the characteristics qualifying this competition, which requires a constant search for the aesthetics of the movement, in search of a perfect osmosis to obtain the best possible result. In compulsory or free figures to music, the riders and their mounts present their recovery to a five-star jury, this sequence of merry-go-round figures (circle, diagonal, half-volt, etc.) repeated many times to shine in 8 levels of competition. : CDI3*, CDI2*, CDI Amateurs, CDI U25, CDI YH (young horses), CDI YR (Young Riders), CDI J (Juniors) and permanent contract (ponies).

Every year in August, theDeauville-La Touques racecourse becomes the international crossroads of galloping, the object of all desires with its mythical Deauville Barrière Meeting ! It is that in 158 years of existence, the racetrack has been able to rise to the first rank of flat racecourses in France by the number of meetings and group races. Thus, the most successful international thoroughbreds and the best jockeys meet on the tracks for a month to offer a unique experience to an ever-growing amateur public.

Along with horse racing, free entertainment come to life all around the red brick building and the display ring. On the family side, the Galop Kids Village introduces the youngest to horse riding and the equestrian world, in a fun way: pony baptisms at the minippodrome, inflatable horse racing with the Pony Hop Race, mini stable and its life-size wooden structures to create magical stories... Novices in search of curiosities take part in a backstage guided tour of the racecourse to discover behind the scenes and understand how it works. And every Thursday, to enjoy the semi-night races, the racetrack takes on the air of a guinguette with the bar The Black Guy and its outdoor terrace, surrounded by many food trucks.

The Deauville-Clairefontaine Meeting, three disciplines on the slopes
Newer than its neighbour, theDeauville-Clairefontaine racecourse is unique in Normandy: it is the only tridisciplinary racetrack capable of accommodating trotting, galloping and show jumping races. Renowned for its family, it opens its doors on June 20 for its traditional meeting and its 19 days of spectacular races which can be seen from the Anglo-Norman buildings. La Barrière Deauville Polo Cup, the place to be in August
It has been 142 years since the first polo match was disputed in Deauville. The club, meanwhile, was created in 1907 thanks to Robert de Rothschild, Captain Joubert and the Duc de Guiche. If great princely and political names marched on the grounds of theDeauville-La Touques racecourse, like the King of Spain Alfonso XIII and the Maharaja of Jaipur, it is today the best polo players from all over the world who flock to the Barrier Deauville Polo Cup to wield the mallet and try to win in one of the four tournaments – Silver Cup, Ladies Polo Cup, Bronze Cup et Gold Cup –, and, for the most ambitious, to win the 72nd edition of the legendary Gold Cup. Who will succeed Los Dragones, big winners in 2021?

The Longines Deauville Classic, a three-star competition
The biggest obstacle course of the year! Having become a must in the Norman sports calendar in five editions, the prestigious CSI 3* Longines Deauville Classic welcomes for its 6 years more than 200 riders et 350 horses. Four intense days of competition with, as always, the Longines Equestrian Challenge Normandy, to culminate with the CSI 3* Longines Grand Prix of the Normandy Region at 1m50 on Sunday. Great riders from the international scene have already made the trip there in recent years, including Steve Guerdat (# 3) Julien Epaillard (# 14) Kevin Staut (# 21) and Penelope Leprevost (#28).
The queen event of the competition, the Longines Equestrian Challenge Normandie is unique in its kind: it brings together ten teams made up of a show jumping rider and a galloping jockey for an interdisciplinary exchange. The principle ? Jockeys in show jumping and riders in flat racing! The "jumpers", advised by a jockey, take the start of a race on theDeauville-La Touques racecourse. The following evening, the jockeys, coached by their partner, set off on a jumping course at Longines International Horse Center - Deauville.

The August yearling sales, in search of the stars of tomorrow
There are crowds around Elie de Brignac room, the scene of auctions conducted by Arqana, leader in yearling sales in France and second on the European market after Tattersalls in England. As usual, they take place on the same weekend as the Jacques Le Marois Prize, within theDeauville La Touques racecourse located directly opposite. On site, the elite of yearlings, these one-year-old English thoroughbreds who are rigorously inspected by buyers and chosen for their pedigrees (dam or father's performance), their physique and their origins, in the hope to see them become the future champions of galloping. In 2021, a very good sale created a sensation: a daughter ofDubawi stallion and typical mare was sold for 2,4 million euros, making it the "top price" of the edition. This female was bred near Bayeux, within the Haras d'Etreham, one of the largest in France. For the record, another filly from Dubawi had been sold for 620 euros the previous year.
