Xenakis Trio
Musicians
The Xenakis Trio's main vocation is the exploration of masterpieces of contemporary music highlighting the multiple facets of percussion.
Trained mainly at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, these three percussionists share a passion for chamber music work involving the infinite and spectacular instrumentarium of 20th century percussion.
Paying homage to Iannis Xenakis, one of the first composers to bring the percussion to light as a soloist with a rhythmic complexity never before considered, this ensemble also explores the works of the last century in all its aesthetic evolution up to the most contemporary creation.
Instrumental revelation of the Victoires de la musique in 2017, Adélaide Ferrière, like her two partners of the trio, has collaborated with the most important French and European orchestral phalanges and under the direction of the greatest conductors.
