TRIATHLON DEAUVILLE NORMANDIE #12
The Deauville Normandie International Triathlon is one of France's must-attend events for all triathlon enthusiasts. In 2022, 8,000 triathletes took part. As ever, the 12th edition of this event will be all about sport, discovery and sharing.
A host of events will punctuate the weekend, including the Tri Expo, France's first triathlon village, which sets up on the seafront on Friday June 16, with sporting meetings and conferences. As always, everyone is welcome to take part, whatever their age or physical condition.
Saturday June 17th
Full Distance - 3.8km swim, 180km cycle, 42.2km run.
Discovery event - 300m swim, 23km cycle, 5km run.
Long Distance - 1.9km, 90km cycling, 21km running.
DO750 event - 750m swim, 30km bike, 10km run.
Olympic Distance Event - 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run.
TO SEE THE EVENTS
The start of each adult swimming event is given on the beach of Deauville, with a water temperature varying between 16 to 20 degrees and nearly 3000 spectators each year, except for the Full Distance whose course evolves this year with a departure from the lake of Pont L'Evêque. The course continues by bike between land and sea on the roads of the Pays d'Auge and its typical landscapes: thatched cottages, stud farms, green meadows, views plunging on the sea... The last straight line in running brings the triathletes on the mythical Boards of Deauville and a finish facing the sea.
