TOURISM: WE ALL HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY

The frequentation of tourist businesses, whatever their nature, depends for a lot on the tourist frequentation of the territory and its brand image. In order to act on these two levers, the Mayors of eleven municipalities created Territoire de Deauville in January 2017. This public establishment's mission is to federate all the actors of tourism around these objectives. By coming together, the municipalities saw the opportunity to share their vision of tourism development; to work in synergy and no longer in isolation; acquire shared and necessarily reinforced means to be more effective; to develop new skills which are essential in today's tourism market.

TERRITORY OF DEAUVILLE: A DIGITAL TRAVEL AGENCY
The mission of Territoire de Deauville goes beyond that of the former tourist offices. It is no longer only a question of delivering information to people who are already on the territory, but of going to conquer them, to advise them better and to retain them. The structure has acquired skills in territory marketing and has restructured, while acquiring digital tools that allow it to position itself on the web. It organized transversal services totally dedicated to tourism development in addition to a reception service made up of six tourist information offices. It is now working on its offer and its strengths in depth to better promote and adapt them when necessary. An approach shared by the tourism players in the area. Within the Territory of Deauville, institutions, companies, associations, residents work together to share their experiences and carry out collective actions for promotion.

The shared brand created to carry the communication of the territory is a standard which highlights a common narrative of the tourist destination and which has the power to make an impression. It is intended to be shared by all economic, cultural, sporting players ... who refer to the territory to make themselves known and promote their products, events, successes, etc.
The brand is based on the name of Deauville, the municipality whose reputation is the strongest among the eleven municipalities which have joined together to work together. It is a choice assumed by all: the notoriety from which Deauville benefits is a major commercial asset.

NINE OBJECTIVES FOR THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT OF THE TERRITORY
The Mayors of the eleven municipalities in the territory have set nine objectives which set the framework for the actions of Territoire de Deauville.

2 - Develop short stays
3 - Contribute to the value of all the municipalities of the destination
4 - Develop the activity out of season
5 - Enhance the image of the territory
6 - Attract new customers
7 - Increase our visibility and notoriety in France and abroad
8 - Create a sense of belonging, pride and consistency in the long term.
