Laetizia Le Fur

Guest of the Photo4Food Foundation at the 2020 Contact Plates festival

Letizia Le Fur continued the series The Wealth of Continents and the Providence of Fleeing Men during the Planches Contact residency. Using the same process and the double motif of the landscape and the human figure, she shows her own vision of the city, the coast and the hinterland. Graduated from the School of Fine Arts in 1998, Letizia Le Fur was initially trained in painting. Encouraged by artist and teacher Valérie Belin, she quickly turned her aesthetic quest towards photography. Letizia Le Fur's photographic writing lies somewhere between reality and fiction. His photographs tell short stories like visual poems.
In 2018, she won the Leica / Alpine Prize. She creates a carte blanche in the form of a road trip that will lead to an exhibition at the Leica Gallery.
The editions This is not a map publish it in the form of a photographic road map.

She is currently preparing a monograph for the series The riches of the continents and providence over men on the run with the Rue du Bouquet editions (autumn 2020 release), which she continued in Deauville during her Planches Contact residency. Using the same process and the double motif of the landscape and the human figure, she shows her own vision of the city, the coast and the hinterland.

The Photo4Food Foundation's mission is to finance meals for the most disadvantaged through the sale of art photos taken by young artists, and the reception of donations from the public. These artists donated some of their works for the benefit of the foundation. The foundation, to thank and encourage them, also promotes their work to a large community of enthusiasts and buyers, in particular by organizing exhibitions of the main works. www.fondationphoto4food.com
