The Longines International Horse Pole – Deauville opens up to equine therapy

Anxious to allow access to all to the practice of horse riding and more particularly to the most vulnerable such as people with disabilities or abused women, the Longines International Horse Pole – Deauville opens in May a section dedicated to equine therapy in his school.

Horse therapy sessions

In this context, Juliette Lecoq, equitherapist and psychomotor therapist, trained at the IFEQ (Equitherapy Training Institute) and graduated since 2016, will lead daily group or individual sessions. For 30 minutes or 1 hour, horses from the Pole's riding school, specially selected, will be Juliette Lecoq's working partners to lead participants towards better being and better living.

Pole horses

"The quality of the infrastructure of the Pole, the richness and diversity of its cavalry, its ideal geographical location are among the main assets that motivated me to open an equine therapy section at Pole explains Juliette Lecoq. “I have selected horses that show great sensitivity, each of which has different models, characters and feelings. They can therefore accompany anyone, from a child to an elderly person, suffering from any pathology, physical or mental. »

A reconnection accompanied by the horse

Convinced of the benefits of horses and ponies on humans, Franck Le Mestre is delighted with this new collaboration. "Equitherapy is a continuation of the adapted horse riding that we have been offering since 2010" comments the general manager of the Pole. “Our desire is to promote and develop horse riding at the service of society, in particular to meet a need that has been increasingly expressed since the health crisis. Equine therapy also allows a return to basics, to nature, facilitates reconnection with oneself and with others, in the company of the animal” concludes Franck Le Mestre.
