Cyrano joins the inDeauville network

Nathalie and Laurent Amiard have joined the inDeauville network of members. Their bar, restaurant, tobacco shop is located in the Church district. It is a large, lively terrace, and a pretty restaurant bar whose decoration is a tribute to the world of the horse which has made it its headquarters. Felted atmosphere on the restaurant side, hectic around the bar ... here the cracks have their portrait on the wall and the gallop the good pace!

Nathalie and Laurent Amiard are constantly looking for cigars with new or little-known flavors for the pleasure of customers who are very loyal to their cellar.

Formerly and today

The Cyrano long called Chez Joe Germain was originally a hotel, restaurant, bar and tobacco shop.
Then, the eighteen hotel rooms became eighteen small studios and the restaurant a bar room. The spirit persisted despite everything and throughout the century. The Cyrano has remained the meeting place for horse enthusiasts, those whose job it is, those who bet, those who want to be as close as possible to horse racing facilities. From 7 a.m. (6 a.m. in summer) until 30 p.m., around 14 regulars meet daily around the bar to consult horse and equestrian news and refine their bets. "A family" with which Nathalie, Laurent and their six employees live and share joys and concerns, often linked to the horses whose stories they follow.

Their routes
They bought the Cyrano fifteen years ago. Originally from the Eure department, they had initially planned to stay three years, as this hard job seems inconceivable in the long term. It was without counting on the quality of life Deauvillaise, ideal for their two schooled children two blocks from Cyrano and the beach where they will spend their summers. They have not seen the passing of time and have become attached to Deauville and its tourist dynamics which they no longer imagine leaving.

Key date: 2014

The year of the renovation from top to bottom. Several months of work follow one another with the fear that customers will adopt other habits. But no, they all came back at the opening.
They chose a decoration consistent with the establishment, its history and its customers. The horse is in the spotlight in the vintage details and on the walls. Objects from another time, black wooden furniture, leather armchairs: the place is welcoming and warm for early risers as well as for passing tourists. The English come in numbers in summer. Many appreciate the cigar cellar, a real passion for the owners of places who do not hesitate to travel the world to discover new productions.
Culinary beliefs
They claim a cuisine "like at home" made of local, simple and quality products. The meat is bought from a Norman group. For vegetables, Nathalie crosses the street and gets her supplies at the organic market on Thursday. He sometimes grabbed a good part of the stand of the only Manchère market gardener present. The icing on the cake is a continuous service until 20 p.m. every day.
