Deauville - from July 8th to September 16th, 2018

Delacroix, Monet, Bonnard, Doisneau… The Franciscaines, as if you were there!

The Artists in Normandy exhibition takes a 360° look on the representations of Normandy, both in painting and photography, from 1830 to current times.

Each summer, the City of Deauville unveils part of the Les Franciscaines, future place of life and cultural activities, opening in 2020. This year, the Franciscaines promote the Artists: their benevolent, incisive, moved and living gaze in front of the seaside and rural Norman landscapes.

About two centuries of masterpieces belonging to the Collection du Musée des Franciscaines and the Peindre en Normandie Collection are joined for the first time, including Delacroix, Monet, Daubigny, Renoir, Vuillard, Bonnard, Vlaminck, Dufy, Malet, Hambourg, Doisneau, Massimo Vitali…

The exhibition is provided under the double commission of Alain Tapié, Artistic Director of the Peindre en Normandie Collection, and Lynda Frenois, Director of the Musée des Franciscaines of Deauville.

The OFF of the exhibition:
The works of famous and renowned painters, fauvists, impressionists or contemporary photographers exhibited at the Point de Vue will also be exhibited on the Boardwalk all summer long. A large-format portrait of each of them will be displayed on the doors of the cabins.
