Golf Barriere Deauville

Recognized as one of the most beautiful in France, the Golf Barriere Deauville offers the privilege of swinging on the heights of Deauville, with the sea and the Auge countryside as the only horizon. Manicured fairways, fast and tormented greens, aesthetic research, colorful plantings and rigorous maintenance make this course a competition site for amateurs and high-ranking professionals. In an environment of 70 hectares, the architects Tom Simpson and Henry Cotton designed two courses: the "Lucien Barrière" (9 holes - 3038 m) and the "Diane Barrière" (18 holes - 5951 m). A true Championship Golf Course, the Golf Barrière Deauville has hosted many champions such as Gary Player, Tony Jacklin and Peter Fowler. The Académie Golf Barrière by Christophe Pottier enhances the golfing offer with high-level education and technologies, to learn or improve during courses and private lessons.

Barrier Saint-Julien Golf

In the heart of the Pays d'Auge, the Barrier Saint-Julien Golf is located on a 90 hectare estate, beautifully landscaped and maintained, with apple trees in bloom. Its architects, Alain Pratt and Bill Baker, have imagined two courses in a totally British spirit: "Le Vallon" (18 holes - 6035 m), championship ground, where many parts of water meander along the fairways and greens, and "Le Bocage" (9 holes - 2258 m), aptly named for the quality of its landscapes, established for less experienced players. We can try to surpass ourselves to achieve the perfect shots. To improve your game, individual, couple or group lessons as well as courses are taught at the golf school by Frédéric Bonhomme, trainer and technical consultant Golf Magazine and Practice.

Golf of Deauville

For a swing in the forest, head to the Golf of Deauville Saint-Gatien and its 140 hectare estate. Since 1988, the golf course has welcomed players from all over the world on three courses of a great visual variety, alternating between forest and estuary of the Seine. First, "La Vallée" (18 holes - 2977 m), which requires golfers to be precise and have a complete technical background to deal with unevenness, forest, obstacles and natural water sources. On the course of "La Bergerie" (9 holes - 3198 m), the players slalom between rough in flower and large bunches of fir trees. The route cuts with the rounded curves of the valley and is intended to be more classic in appearance, but no less technical. The latest of the three, "La Chapelle" (9 holes - 2956m) is an excellent test, with shorter but very technical holes, where playing strategy wins.

Admiralty Golf

Haven of peace and nature,Admiralty Golf unlike any other. Its architect, Bill Baker, created a superb championship course between ponds, vast greens and thickets; swans and migratory birds have even found refuge there. A true open-air museum, the "Parcours des Arts" (18 holes - 6089 m) owes its name to the contemporary monumental sculptures that dot the course. The difficulty comes from the seven ponds and atypical bunkers directly involved in the game. A change of scenery guaranteed with the "Parcours des Étangs" (9 holes - 1982 m), ideal for learning or training. Snaking between the ponds, it requires rigor and precision to position itself well. The most original? The "Star Course" (9 holes - 2155 m), which lights up at night to continue playing golf even when the sun goes down: a new and unique experience in Europe.
