Aquagym lessons at the Deauville swimming poolCity of Deauville

When it developed in France in the XNUMXth century, sea bathing fashion
is not a leisure activity or an opportunity to admire the beauty of the beaches;
we bathe for medical reasons. Doctors discover the virtues of seawater,
rich in magnesium, calcium and potassium, capable according to them of curing many ailments.
Swimming, and more specifically water walking, stimulates blood circulation
and offers a bath rich in trace elements and mineral salts
while relieving the joints. As for walking on the sand,
better known today under the name of "Nordic walking", it also stimulates the system
cardiovascular as the respiratory system, while toning muscle groups.

Swimming in a seawater pool
______________

More recently, the Olympic swimming pool of Deauville was born from the hands of the architect Roger Taillibert, in 1966. 50 meters long, the basin fills with sea water pumped off Deauville and heated to 28 ° C throughout the year. year. With its concrete sails and curves, the exterior of the swimming pool looks like a seashell resting on the sand, facing the sea, sheltered from the sea winds. Inside, it is a huge vault which captures the sun and the light. An ideal place for a swim, a workout or an aquagym lesson.
