Steeple-chase: a great show

Pool, Fence, Oxer, Stone wall, Open ditch. Obstacles with different names and profiles are briskly crossed: steeplechase is a great show organized at the end of August at the Deauville Clairefontaine racecourse. Bertrand Lestrade, twice ‘Cravache d’Or en Obstacle’ (Golden Whip in Jumping) and Barbara Guenet, World Fegentri Champion in 2014, make us discover this impressive discipline.

N. Plante

The Clairefontaine racecourse is proud to be the only tridisciplinary racecourse in the Norman coast. It hosts flat, trotting and jumping races that are exclusively disputed on grass tracks. Founded in 1928, this fascinating field with typically Norman buildings is one of the most flowered racecourses in France and is only 2 km away from Deauville.
Three unmissable highpoints: the Grand steeple-chase de la Ville de Deauville, the Grande course de Haies-Guillaume d’Ornano and the Grand Prix de Clairefontaine, closing the horse racing season every year.

Meeting Bertrand Lestrade, twice ‘Cravache d’Or en Obstacle’

It's a real passion. We love horses and we are very lucky to have the opportunity to work with them.
