Concrete island

"Hidden, camouflaged, concrete works become useless, they are buried under the grass of Mount Canisy, transformed into garden huts near the villas or abandoned, collapsed on the beach. Their heavy remains, away from the movements of the city , continue, silent, to observe the sea. These are the remains of the Atlantic Wall, abandoned bunkers whose aura continues to operate. Destroyed by history and the tide, they arose from the past and have stranded on the shores of a radiant Deauville. They form an imaginary, dark and aesthetic island. Between the dream of an elsewhere and the nightmare of war, this work presents the possible island that the ruins of Deauville form. "
