Let's sail on a sailing boat
with the Deauville Yacht Club

The Deauville Yacht Club organizes throughout the year some sea trips. It offers quiet sea trips off Deauville, to admire the wonderful coast of the region from the sea.

Together with an expert, sail on a sailing boat from the port of Deauville and tack unwind in front of the beaches of the Côte Fleurie to discover sea birds and the Roches Noires cliffs. You can also admire the Seine estuary and Bay from the Cap d’Antifer up to Courseulles-sur-mer. Sailing along the Touques will let you also discover two neighbour towns: Deauville and Trouville-sur-mer.

Cross the Estuary to the other edge of the Seine

Every year from May to September, a boat shuttle proposes to the public to cross the Seine Estuary between the ports of Deauville/Trouville-sur-Mer and Le Havre.

Get on the speedboat in the morning, spend the day on site, then come back in the evening travelling the opposite way.

You can reach directly the heart of seaside resorts, without worrying about parking and traffic issues. But the crossing in itself is also an amazing moment of discovery. Landscapes, infrastructure, architectures seen from the sea are appreciated under a new perspective!

Sail onboard the François Monique!

The “François Monique” is a scallop boat of the roadstead of Breast, built in the “Chantier du Fret” (Fret Shipyard) by Auguste Tertu. Launched on September 16th 1935, it was manufactured for Hervé Salaün, sailor in Lagona Daoulas, to fish great scallops and to extract from the seabed maerl (chalky sand for soil amendment) and red seaweed used as agricultural fertilizer. In 2008, the old rigging was bought by Franck Brize and brought to Trouville-Deauville. The “Petit Foc” association was created and started to restore the boat, retracing its history, and made it resemble again to a scallop boat of the roadstead of Breast through its colours and ancient rigging.
