THE SCALLOP AND SEAFOOD FAIR

The 24th edition of the Scallop and Seafood Fair gathers in Villers sur-Mer people that are fond of this territory and its local traditions.

Villers-sur-mer will be celebrating an extraordinary product to tantalize your taste buds for two entire days! This event is 100% focused on fish to offer the best sea products in a dynamic and festive atmosphere.

The program includes: tons of local scallops and shellfish at low price; music, festive and sea activities; cooking demonstrations with the Académie Nationale de Cuisine and the participation of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France; markets of wine and gourmet products; eating areas.

PLACE DE LA MER
The Place de la mairie is turned into Place de la mer (Sea Square). Here, you’ll find scallops and seafood to take away, but also to taste on site all day long!

GOURMET MARKET
In front of the Casino and in the city centre, over 150 exhibitors gather to let the public enjoy. This market, where you can discover local specialities and fine wines, offers a large selection of tasty products and unforgettable memories you can take with you.

TASTING VILLAGE
During the two-day fair, the Tasting Village, found in Rue de l’Armistice, offers a selection of gourmet products’ exhibitors. Be tempted by our talented producers of canned food, sweet delicacies or foie gras!

SEAFOOD COUNTER
A seafood counter is waiting for you in front of the Casino. The menu includes tasty seafood dishes accompanied by a glass of wine with iodine aromas.

STREET SHOWS
The city hosts two concerts on two different stages (the Casino and the Town Hall) and street parades that join pirates, a brass band, a barrel organ, stilt walkers, and also a Carnival troupe.

ACTIVITIES
Several activities about the sea are organized: search and rescue dogs’ training, sailing ship mast climbing, parade of a scallop boat dating back to 1935 ("Le François Monique"), ship modelling shows and helicopter driving initiations.
