Valentine's Day: dinner for two under Les Franciscaines chandelier
On the occasion of Valentine's Day, Les Franciscaines opens its doors at night on Saturday, February 12 and invites lovers for an exceptional evening. It all begins in the Chapel, where you will be transported by the poetry of Deauville's lovers before the projection of the short film Weloveyou, shot a year earlier on the beach and the boards of Deauville. Then head for the Cloister, with its spectacular chandelier and 19th century arcades, for a dinner under the stars in the glass roof. Try it, it's magical.

7:30 pm - Screening of the art film Weloveyou
Put a camera on the beach of Deauville, and let love speak. This is how Joëlle Marouani, interior architect, Mila Lights, multidisciplinary artist, Nathaniel Méchaly, film music composer and Elodie Lachaud, photographer/plastician, came up with the idea of putting forward Love with a capital A. Weloveyou is an artistic creation that they wanted to share with the people of Deauville, of all ages, of all backgrounds, of all generations, united by the universal bond of love. With their hair blowing in the wind and the sea as their only horizon, fifteen or so lovers, friends and families are filmed on the boards and beach of Deauville. The instruction: let yourself be carried away by your emotions. A staging, yes, but without games or artifice. Only the love and natural affection expressed to her husband, her family, her child, or her parents, with a touching sincerity.
From the beach to the screen, the short film shot in June 2021 is being screened for the first time and exclusively at the Chapelle des Franciscanson this symbolic mid-February weekend. With the presence of the authors and the extras, the audience discovers twenty minutes of captured moments, unique stories, on a music composed by Nathaniel Méchaly(Taken, Colombiana, Kabul Kitchen...).
Directed by Elodie Lachaud, voice and texts by Mila Lights on music by Nathaniel Mechaly.

20:30 - Dinner in Les Franciscaines Cloister
Like Weloveyou, Les Franciscaines celebrates Valentine's Day and love in the broadest sense: couples, but also friends and families are invited to continue this exceptional evening and to live the unique experience of dining in the Cloister, at the time when visitors have left the premises and the doors are usually closed to the public. Here, architecture and gastronomy are combined, to the delight of both eyes and taste buds. In an ephemeral dining room of 70 pedestal tables, Le Réfectoire offers a dinner for two, surrounded by the illuminated arcades of the old convent, under the stars of the glass roof and the chandelier of the Franciscanswith a creative and singular meal formula. In the kitchen, the Chef is none other than the talented Yanick Bernouinformerly at the head of the restaurantAuberge de la Source****, near Honfleur. A seasonal, tasty and local cuisine to be tasted in an exceptional place for a gastro-cultural escapade.
