RUSSIAN ART FESTIVAL - 2nd EDITION
Russian magic is back to Deauville with the principal dancers of the best ballet companies and the music of legendary composers paying tribute to the Golden Age of the Russian music.

Under the artistic direction of Serguei Filine, about fifteen Russian principal dancers and soloists are celebrating Russian composers of the 20th century: Tchaïkovski, Borodine, Stravinsky, Rachmaninov. The principal dancers are presenting some extracts of the famous ballets of the repertoire and contemporary choreographies especially created for the Casino Barrière theatre.

MEETINGS & LECTURES WITH ARTISTS OF THE BALLET
Artem Ovcharenko, principal dancer of the film made by Kirill Serebrennikov and titled "Noureev", shows how he performed the role of Rudolf Noureev after the projection of “Dance to Freedom”, BBC documentary film dedicated to the famous ballet dancer and choreographer. Pierre Lacotte, choreographer and Noureev's friend, is also a guest.

TWO EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCES
The principal dancers of the best Russian ballet companies are back on the stage of the Casino Barrière theatre of Deauville on August 23rd and 24th. The first performance is paying tribute to the leading composers of the 20th century and current times. Then, the female principal dancer of the Bolshoï of Moscow and leading character of the international ballet, Olga Smirnova, will perform her favourite pieces and new works written for her by young contemporary choreographers.

RUSSIAN DINNER WITH A STARRED CHEF
After the second performance, a "Russian dinner" will take place at the Salon des Ambassadeurs of the Casino Barrière of Deauville. It’s an opportunity to discover the new Russian cuisine, prepared by one of the 10 best starred chefs in the world: Vladimir Moukhine, chef of the White Rabbit restaurant of Moscow.
