Since its creation, Livres & Musiques has been encouraging young readers and highlighting children's literature. Around a tailor-made program adapted to all ages, young readers will have something to find their happiness.

A space prohibited for adults
Just like children love having "their" room at home, they will love the space that the festival has reserved for them, in the heart of the Deauville International Center. Specialized bookstore, youth publishers, place for debates, practical workshops: everything is done to give young people the desire to (re) discover reading.

TEEN PRICES: YOUNG PEOPLE READ (ALSO ...) AND VOTE!
Who said that the words "young" and "readers" were incompatible? Certainly not the Festival Books & Music team, which makes it a point of honor to give pride of place to teenagers. With a day dedicated to school children, and a Teenagers' Prize, awarded by 2 young people this year! Supported and co-organized by the booksellers of the Leclerc Cultural Spaces in Normandy, this Prize offers a great opportunity for all these students to reinforce their taste for reading, and to sharpen their critical spirit. A working group selected four books, related to music, of course. 600rd and 3nd year secondary school pupils from the region set to work from the start of the new school year in September. It is up to them to vote, and to participate in the awards ceremony during the Festival: a morning punctuated by debates, projections and musical moments.
