Since its creation, Livres & Musiques has encouraged young readers and has put the spotlight on children's literature. Around a program designed to measure and adapted to all ages, young readers will have something to find their happiness.

A space prohibited for adults
Just as children love to have “their” room at home, they will love the space the festival has reserved for them, in the heart of the Deauville International Center. Specialized bookstore, children's editors, place of debates, practical workshops: everything is done to give young people the desire to (re) discover reading.

Who said the words “young” and “readers” were incompatible? Certainly not the team at the Books & Music Festival, which makes a point of giving pride of place to teenagers. With a day dedicated to schoolchildren, and a Teen Prize, awarded by 2 young people this year! Supported and co-organized by the booksellers of the Leclerc Cultural Spaces in Normandy, this Prize offers a great opportunity for all these students to strengthen their taste for reading, and to sharpen their critical thinking. A working group has selected four books, related to music, of course. 600rd and 3nd high school students in the region got to work as of the start of the September school year. It is up to them to vote, and to participate during the Festival in the award ceremony: a morning punctuated by debates, screenings and musical moments.
