I wanted to lock up the mist

Jean-Charles Remicourt-Marie was born in Caen in 1990. In 2014, he graduated from the superior school of art and media in Caen. His work explores the ambiguities contained in military devices, what they contain of formal, even decorative seduction, and their uses. These characteristics are the subject, for the artist, of a set of poetic diversions as well as a reflection on the simulacrum, the lure, and the revealed. Her work has, among others, been previously shown in Tokyo (Tama art museum, in 2015 and 2017), in Quebec (L'oeil de poisson and Galerie Lacerte in 2017) and in Milan (T-space and Current in 2018).

In Deauville, he produced a series retracing on the surface of Deauville all the historic and intimate strata that compose it. : the world of games, luxury, military history of Normandy and the culture of tourism.
