The Villas neighborhood

At the back of the seafront, a district composed of villas, many from the beginning of the century, aligned on the street or slightly set back. Unlike the aristocratic villas on the seafront, the villas are of average size, sometimes semi-detached. The atmosphere is peaceful, the small planted front gardens give a green tone to the whole.

Visit the streets of Gheest, Pasteur, Raspail and Laplace as if you were in a museum to discover the facings of the walls - faux pan de bois, brick and stone checkerboards - and the animated roofs. This harmonious and calm ensemble is reinforced by the fences and hedges.

André Citroën, who liked to spend time in Deauville, opened a garage and a showroom for his cars in 1928 in this neighborhood of villas (the current Cinéma Morny - address to be put down).
In addition to the models of the time (5CV, 7CV, B10, B12, B14), there were also some "auto-chenilles". They were built for the Croisière Jaune. One of them will be for a long time in activity on the beach to take the bathers to the sea.
