Hyphen between the city center and the Peninsula, gateway to the sea at the junction between the Morny and Yachts basins, designed by the architectural studio Xavier Bohl, the port buildings, inspiration from the Auge region, have been transforming the landscape of Deauville since 2020, while reconnecting with elements of its past. They are each marked with a 28-meter-high signal tower which is inspired by the fixed light lighthouse, erected in 1874 and demolished in 1929. The architect was inspired by the old lighthouse by adopting the principle of period black and white stripes. On the Quai de la Marine side, the building houses the harbor master's office for the municipal port, the Deauville Yacht-Club and its sailing school, and the tower for the gangway machinery. On the Quai de l'Impératrice Eugénie side, the building will soon host a restaurant and the second tower is accessible to the public who, from the belvedere, can admire a panoramic view of Deauville, Trouville-sur-Mer, the Touques estuary, the coast. and the valleys of the Auge countryside.
