Anne-Marie PHILIPE
Invited to the 2016 Books & Music Festival
After a scientific baccalaureate and higher studies in biology, Anne-Marie Philipe studied at the Cours Périmony and then joined the Ecole de la rue Blanche (ENSATT).
She then joined Jean-Louis Barrault's troupe at the Théâtre d'Orsay and played in Harold and Maude before meeting Peter Brook who took her to the Bouffes du Nord where she worked on Mesure pour mesure, studied aikido during a course with Yoshi OÏda and then left for Japan where she settled for a time to perfect her training. On her return, she joined Andréas Voutsinas' class and learned the Actor's Studio Method with him. He directed her in The Night of the Iguana by T. Williams at the Bouffes du Nord. From then on, she never stopped acting in the theater: she worked on Corneille, Hugo, Edouardo de Filippo, Claudel, Anouilh, Tennessee Williams, Goldoni, Isaac Babel, Audiberti and made more than 100 films, both for the cinema and for television, in which she worked with Sophia Loren, Daniel Auteuil, Bernard Giraudeau, Niels Arestrup, Sophie Marceau, Miou-Miou, Patrick Timsit, André Dussollier, Jacques Perrin, Anne Parillaud... She has worked with Bernard Sobel, Georges Vitaly, Josée Dayan, Jean Marboeuf, Didier Decoin, Michel Drach, Tony Gatlif, Lina Wertmuller, Yves Robert, Patrice Leconte, Bertrand Tavernier, Bruno Chiche, and has worked in both English and Italian. She played in several films by Véra Belmont, whose memories as a producer and filmmaker she recounts in L'hirondelle du faubourg (stock editions). At the same time, Anne-Marie Philipe teaches theater twice at the Cours Périmony where she holds an ensemble class, continues horseback riding, travels and learns Japanese. Then, she met Danseur, her Lusitano from Haute-Ecole, and decided to tell the adventures of her Portuguese dressage horse to children by creating her own collection at Gallimard-Jeunesse in which she published 14 albums. Then she adapted, produced and told Le temps d'un soupir, her mother's book (Anne Philipe) and thus settled in the transmission that she had already approached with the albums of Danseur. Today, Anne-Marie Philipe creates her own course and thus continues the idea of transmission to which she is attached.
She will be present:
