Gwendoline Perrigueux
Artist

Guest of the 2021 L'Appel du Large festival
Gwendoline Perrigueux obtained her DNSEP from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2013 after an Erasmus stay at Central Saint Martins in London. She founded the CHEZKIT workshop and venue in 2014 with Cyril Zarcone and Coline Cuni in Pantin. Today, she lives and works in Paris. Gwendoline Perrigueux plays with contrasts: she interweaves materials that are foreign to each other, materials that had never been encountered before, and invents forms capable of welcoming - of collecting - the density of the other, in its entirety. From each object emerges the impression of a surgical cut, of a perfect dissection of the staged materials. It is by looking more closely that the organic remembers us, that the body, ours or that of others, takes shape in hollow. The party is for her a real state of mind and she seizes it to express plastically all kinds of shared pleasures.

To respond to the invitation of the call of the sea, Gwendoline invites us to observe the sky through its aluminum clouds suspended from a circular opening in the architecture above our heads. From this luminous cutout, Entwine our heads in your clouds draws a horizon towards which we can wander in our growing dreams of love.
