Gwendoline Perrigueux
Artist

Guest of the festival L'Appel du Large 2021
Gwendoline Perrigueux obtained her DNSEP from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2013 after an Erasmus stay at the Central Saint Martins in London. She founded the workshop and venue CHEZKIT in 2014 with Cyril Zarcone and Coline Cuni in Pantin. Today, she lives and works in Paris. Gwendoline Perrigueux plays with contrasts: she interweaves materials that are foreign to each other, materials that had never met before, and invents forms capable of welcoming - of gathering - the density of the other, all of it. From each object emerges the impression of a surgical cut, of a perfect dissection of the staged materials. It is by looking more closely that the organic reminds us, that the body, ours or that of others, is drawn in hollow. The party is for her a real state of mind and she seizes it to express plastically all kinds of shared pleasures.

To answer the invitation of the call of the sea, Gwendoline invites us to observe the sky through her aluminum clouds suspended from a circular opening in the architecture above our heads. From this luminous cutout, Enlacer nos têtes dans tes nuages (Embracing our heads in your clouds) draws a horizon towards which we can ramble to our growing dreams of love.
