The Domaine des Enclos is an exceptional 33 hectare park bequeathed to the City of Deauville in 1973. It was acquired in 1937 by Calouste Gulbenkian (1869-1955), a businessman and an esthete, who was one of the greatest collectors of art of the XXth century. He went there to create the garden he dreamed of and entrusted the design to the landscaper Achille Duchêne. Decades after its conception, the park remains a magical place, an unknown and joyful facet of a secret Deauville. More than anything, it has retained the charm and beauty that its creator had once made realize, with a rare sensitivity.
