The Franciscans with an open book: Prize for unpublished novel and prize for unpublished thriller

An afternoon devoted to the presentation of two literary prizes: the Prize for the unpublished novel and the Prize for the unpublished thriller. Time for conversations with the award-winning authors and time for discussion with the public will be followed by the launch of the award-winning books.
The path to publication of a manuscript is often complex and many texts are refused by publishing houses. Today, only one in several thousand manuscripts is published.
However, the rejected text is not always bad and from Marcel Proust to JK Rowling many authors have had this disappointing experience before meeting an editor who believed in them. It is in this spirit that the independent publishing house Novice in collaboration with the Cultural Spaces E. Leclerc of Normandy, the Edith & Nous platform and Les Franciscaines, imagined in 2020, the Prize for the unpublished novel, to offer a second chance to all apprentice writers who have not yet found a publisher. In 2021, the concept of the Prize opens up to a new literary genre: the thriller.
