The paleontological site of the Vaches Noires cliffs testifies to a period in the history of the Earth: the Jurassic. Formed by the accumulation of sediments deposited by the tropical sea which then covered Normandy, there are today fossils of ammonites, sea urchins, nautiluses but also plesiosaurs, Ichthyosaurs... From Villers-sur- Sea at Houlgate (6 km), take the beach and discover the panorama of the cliffs of the Vaches Noires, a unique landscape on the French coast. A geological discovery during an unusual journey with an introduction to collecting fossils.
Arrival at Houlgate: to return to Villers-sur-Mer, possibility of taking a bus (Bus Verts, line 20) or the TER which allows you to go from station to station from Dives/Cabourg to Deauville/Trouville (not included in the price of the visit).
Bring weather-appropriate clothing and walking shoes.
