THE DEAUVILLE-CLAIREFONTAINE HIPPODROME
If the Deauville-La Touques racetrack is the sanctuary for flat races, that of Deauville-Clairefontaine can boast of being the only tri-disciplinary racetrack on the Normandy coast, hosting trot, obstacle and flat races exclusively on grass.
No race day is like another at the Hippodrome de Clairefontaine! Escape, discoveries, sharing, transmission, initiation, conviviality: so many activities and attentions offered around thematic days created more than 20 years ago.
PREPARE YOUR DAY
From 10 a.m. for meetings starting at 12 p.m. and 00 p.m., and from 13 p.m. for days starting at 00 p.m., Clairefontaine opens its doors free of charge on race mornings to show behind the scenes of the racecourse.
Guided tours are led by a former great jockey, Yves TALAMO who later became director of Afasec in Deauville, the horse training school, and Paul PIAZZA. Recognized and passionate, they will tell you everything about the world of racing and in particular the Clairefontaine racecourse, before sharing with you a tasting of local products.
At lunchtime, take a break in one of the three restaurants or nibble at the table of one of the four bars.
Around 12:00 p.m., 13:00 p.m. or 16:00 p.m. generally sounds the start of operations, it is the opening of bets on the races.
From then on, the races will take place every half hour. For experienced racegoers, the 60 television screens distributed between the hall and the ticket offices will allow them to follow the races and play in one of the 60 ticket offices or one of the 8 automatic terminals.
Take the program of the day offered at the entrances to follow all the races of the day and discover the activities of the day. They are different every day.

Games, snacks, distribution of cotton candy before the snack and popcorn after the snack, make-up workshop, playground under parental supervision, circuit of mini cars, pedal horses, pony rides: Everything is planned so that children can spend an unforgettable day at the Clairefontaine racecourse!
