Awards : Deauville doubly acclaimed
With its many tourist attractions, Deauville took first place in two podiums this month. The seaside resort has won over Internet users looking for a spring break and boaters calling at the port.
Best rated marina in the Channel area
In its May 2022 issue, currently on newsstands, Moteur Boat magazine delivers the top 100 French marinas according to users of Navily, a free application that guides boaters in their choice of stopovers. The marina of Deauville takes the first place in the ranking in the Channel navigation area and the sixth place at the national level. Saint-Cast and Tréguier, two ports in the Côtes d'Armor, complete the podium in this part of the French coast.
Deauville received an average score of 4.76 out of 5, broken down as follows: 4.8 for shops, 5 for tourism, 4.6 for services, 4.4 for reception and 5 for cleanliness.
The assets that attract boaters, who are constantly increasing (+30% compared to 2019) and half of whom come from the Netherlands and Belgium: the many shops and restaurants nearby, the many possibilities for discovery, access to the port via a channel lined with beautiful wooden piers, the beach just a few steps away, and the friendly, quality port services.
Most searched "French small town" on the internet
On the occasion of the spring vacations, the online vacation rental comparison service Likibu.com has compiled a ranking of the 50 small French towns most sought after on the Internet by the French. Deauville takes the first place in the ranking, followed by Hossegor and its neighbor Honfleur.
This study was conducted between April 11 and 18, 2022 on all French cities with a population between 2,000 and 10,000 inhabitants, or more than 4,300 municipalities. The data correspond to the average number of monthly searches on Google made by holidaymakers over the last twelve months for the queries "What to do", "What to see", "What to visit", associated with the name of the town.
