It's the historic port basin of Deauville. Bearing the name of the founder of the town, the Morny duke, and situated close to the centre of the town and in front of the railway station, it has major advantages.

Gates and gateways, new pontoons and moorings, water and electricity terminals…The City of Deauville has started renovating its port facilities few years ago and, more broadly, the renovation of the maritime district, known as Presqu'île.

The municipal port is situated 300 m from the Morny square and includes two basins: Morny and Yachts basins.
About 400 boats are moored here all-year-round: 60 moorings are also available to visitors. Deauville Yacht Club, sailing school, fairing area and port services are all situated on the town side of the harbour.

Created in 1928, the Deauville Yacht Club (D.Y.C) organises more than 15 regattas per year, including the "Cowes-Deauville", the "Open International de Dragon" and the "Championnat de lasers" competitions. With its 250 members, it has been rated as the first club in Basse-Normandie for number of licence holders. Its vocation is sailing in all its forms. Certified as “École Française de voile” (French Sailing School), the DYC sailing school offers sailing initiation for passionates of all levels, especially students. In the framework of the Presqu’île redevelopment works, a new DYC building will be built on the Quai de l'Impératrice Eugénie, already including its first premises.

Christian Menard

Canary islands, Cape Verde, Azores, Bermuda… Christian, retired salesman, leaves Deauville every year to reach sunny destinations. Former marathon runner, he discovered sailing when he was 43 years old. Now he is 60 and this passion has turned into his lifestyle. He lives in his J12 m yacht moored in the Morny basin. It's here where he gets prepared for his solitary journeys.

"I feel good here in Deauville, the port is close to the town centre and the ambience is always vibrant and friendly. My floating home is right here! ".
