Margot Montigny

Guest of the 2021 L'Appel du Large festival

Margot Montigny is a photographer, graduated from EESAB Rennes and ESAD Grenoble. One of the recurring questions of his work questions the capacity of the image to reflect reality as much as to recreate it from scratch. Since 2017, Margot Montigny has been producing a series of portraits of women artists in their workshops, published in the form of a portfolio in the review Zéro-Deux.

His work has been published in fashion magazines and contemporary art magazines and exhibited at the Rencontres de la Photographie (Arles), at the Galerie du Club des Directors Artistiques (Agence BETC, Paris - curator Harry Peccinotti), at the Salon du Salon (Marseille) and at the Presses du Réel gallery (Paris). At the same time, she likes to rediscover her practice as a musician and / or singer on the occasion of specific projects.

As part of the L'Appel du Large festival which will take place from July 2 to 4, 2021, Margot Montigny offers a song on the theme of the horizon. She will be accompanied by Bruno Scotti. More information on L'Appel du Large here.
