Robert McLiam Wilson
Invited to the 2019 Books & Music Festival
Robert McLiam Wilson is a Northern Irish writer who lives in Paris. Born in a Catholic neighborhood of Belfast, he studied English literature at Cambridge and taught at the University of Ulster. He constantly oscillates between a hilarious humor and tragedy. About twenty years ago, he wrote four books (including a reportage with the photographer Donovan Wylie) that became an instant cult. Since then, he has been a contributor to various newspapers, most notably Charlie Hebdo, where he joined the team in the aftermath of the January 2015 attack.
