Guests at the Planche (s) Contact festival in 2011

Born respectively in 1981 and 1987 in the Paris region, Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre, began photography each of their sides in 2001. Fascinated by architecture, and by ruins, they published in 2010, the book Detroit, vestiges of the American dream, which was a critical and commercial success. Their vision of the city goes beyond aesthetics, it is both sociological and urban. Young talents, they are invited to Deauville to present all the places dedicated to the horse: racetracks, stables, weighing rooms, veterinary clinics. With exhibitions in Sweden and Paris, they began to make themselves known in the photographic world, but also in that of town planning and architecture.
This is one of their first order, this choice is a bet on the future, on the young generation of future photographic artists.
