7th Villers-sur-Mer book fair:
The New Children Contest extended to June 1

New in 2021, the News Competition is open to children with a category specially designed for them up to the age of 15 inclusive. The date of initial receipt of manuscripts set for May 1 is extended to June 1. Children, take your feathers!
The jury, also made up of children, will announce the winners on August 22 at the 7th Book Fair in Villers-sur-Mer.

Beauty of the collections before their exhibition at the Franciscans
Since 2016, the museum team has been undertaking a project aimed at inventorying and restoring the works of the Franciscan collection. In 2020, more than 130 works were restored. Meticulous work that continues today. Last week, the museum team called on a graphic arts curator-restorer, Caroline Legois, to work on works altered by time. Show jumping competition Pros & Amateurs
The competition opens the Cavalassur Top Ten circuit. Professional and amateur riders meet at the Pôle International du Cheval Longines Deauville for a new sporting confrontation. For 3 days, behind closed doors, the entrants will compete in around fifteen national events with obstacles ranging from 1,10m to 1,40m. All the events will be broadcast live on the Pôle's website.

Founded in 864, the Monnaie de Paris is the oldest of the French institutions and the oldest company in the world. It ensures the public service mission of minting current euros for France and other foreign currencies and for twelve centuries has cultivated a high tradition in the arts related to metal.
