The Medieval Festival of Touques
Chapter IX : "The Spice Route

Oyez oyez, for a weekend, the City of Touques goes back in time to the time of the troubadours and the knights. Because it was the second largest city in Normandy in the Middle Ages, the town of Touques offers its preserved heritage as a backdrop to the medieval festivals. For this Chapter IX, the medieval city will go on the spice route. On the program: theater, bird and fire shows, a circus, a market and its craftsmen, an animal farm, pottery and illumination workshops.... The Middle Ages as if you were there!

Deauville pays tribute to Van Dongen
In the summer of 1913, Van Dongen and his family spent their first summer in Deauville. From 1919 to 1963, every year, he stayed at the Normandy, attended the races, enjoyed the beach, met his friends at the Bar du Soleil, painted and drew. The City of Deauville will pay tribute to him by unveiling a heritage plaque.
