A Festival in Villerville:
the power of enchantment

For eight years, during the last weekend of August, Villerville has become the epicenter of theatrical creation. Following an in situ residency, directors and actors take over atypical places in Villerville, from a simple garage on the edge of a castle, to present their performances. From August 26 to 29, the program takes the public on board through “The power of enchantment”, the theme of this edition, with six plays and three carte blanche.

At the invitation of the Franciscans, Ethery Pagava, principal dancer who joined the Ballet du Marquis de Cuevas at the age of 15 and danced often in Deauville, testifies 70 years later to the creativity and repertoire carried by the company. Her story is illustrated by three extracts from the ballet repertoire, performed by two dancers and a dancer.
