THE DEAUVILLEPOOL IS 50 YEARS OLD
This is one of Roger Taillibert's first projects in France. Through the magic of a daring design, using a process of thin, long-span sails, the architect propelled Deauville into the modern world. The seawater pool was inaugurated in July 1966. On the occasion of the Heritage Days, meet Roger Taillibert and discover the bowels and backstage of the Deauville pool.

At the Point de vue, the painter Jacques-Emile Blanche, portraitist of the Belle Epoque, reveals his links with his contemporaries, faithful to Normandy and especially Deauville. As an extension of this, some of the cabins at Les Planches display reproductions of portraits from Les Franciscaines collections.

The amateur sport will be honored with an official show jumping competition, while children will be able to have their first pony ride, take advantage of workshops to raise awareness of the horse and its environment, and attend various demonstrations of equestrian practices.
