NEW DISTRICT OF DEAUVILLE

For this new edition, Deauville has chosen to highlight the Touques Peninsula. Once a commercial port with a wine and coal quay, a shipyard, mechanical workshops and port warehouses, the peninsula is now home to a renowned marina that welcomes the most prestigious yachts. In full mutation, it is becoming a new district of Deauville with the construction of new housing, shops, services and public spaces.
Program:
3pm: lecture by Yves Aublet, followed by a guided tour of the peninsula 5pm: unveiling of a historical and tourist totem

ANDRÉ HAMBOURG, SHADOW & LIGHT
For the first time, 66 of the 536 paintings by André Hambourg that make up the donation made by Nicole Hambourg to the City of Deauville are on view. The exhibition is conceived as a journey to the artist's favorite destinations, from Paris to the Maghreb, through Provence and Normandy.

As an extension of the exhibition, visitors can discover on the Deauville boards nearly thirty works from the Franciscan collections illustrating the places that inspired André Hambourg. An exhibition to be visited from Wednesday to Sunday.

"BLUE TRAIN" : CAR RALLY DEAUVILLE-CANNES
The "Blue Train" or... The 1st Blue Train 2017, a mythical route from Deauville to Cannes. Nearly 50 pre-war cars will leave on the road of the "Blue Train". The participants will leave from Deauville to cross Normandy before joining the castles of the Loire, Burgundy, the valleys of the Saône and the Rhône, then Provence and its perfumes of lavender for a triumphal arrival in Cannes, on the famous Croisette!

60 YEARS OF TWINNING
Deauville receives Lexington as part of its twinning with the American town. The delegation will visit Deauville and the region and will go to the American cemetery in Colleville to pay tribute to its soldiers. On Saturday, at the Villa Strassburger, the representatives of the two cities will sign a new charter to reaffirm this twinning.
