Luc Michel armchairs

On the dike
At the Greenwich Meridian

"I am a painter and already worked on the theme of fish: they came out of the water, maliciously humanized themselves during their walks ... Here they are back in their environment, in any case, facing the sea, beautiful place . What else could I paint? It only remained to tighten the blades of the armchair, too far apart for the consistency of the drawing. It was then necessary to "landscape" the seat and the backrest in the same continuity of lines then delicately place some of my fish ... Red! And the final touch, the pupil. Now they live !!! "

Luc Michel is a self-taught artist. He has been exhibiting his paintings for a few years, attending various regional salons (Saint Romain-La Hêtraie, St Laurent de Brèvedent, Artistes Ouvriers du Havre) where he has been awarded several prizes. He participated in 2014 and 2016 in "Rouen National Art". We could also see it at the Tourist Office of Le Havre, at the "Pasino", at the "Les Mots Passants à Etretat" gallery, at the abbey of Montivilliers. For three years, he has exhibited his work at the "Galerie Hamon", in Le Havre, and more recently at the "Galerie 13" in Honfleur. The artist paints a playful, humorous, poetic universe, rich in color where fish, a pretty pretext for some extravagance, compete for the front of the canvas. After having worked in watercolor for a long time, the paintings he offers today are made in acrylic, offering an even more colorful palette.
