Villerville's sandy beach stretches for several kilometers towards Honfleur and is only accessible at low tide. For swimming, the beach is unsupervised.
The beach on the Parc des Graves side is wilder, allowing you to get closer to the Roches Noires - Pointe du Heurt cliffs. The baths beach, further to the east, offers a pleasant promenade, bordered on one side by a long sandy beach, with Villerville overlooking the sea from the cliffs on the other.
Access to the center of Villerville is difficult by car, so we advise you to walk to the beach via rue des Bains (plage des Bains), rue de la Cabine or chemin des Fondrières (plage des Graves). In summer, parking is charged throughout the commune. Rue du Maréchal Foch and rue des Bains are pedestrianized every weekend from April 16, on public holidays and during school vacations until September 15.
Although shellfish fishing is authorized, shellfish (cockles, tellins, razor clams, mussels), gastropods (periwinkles, etc.), sea urchins and tunicates are not allowed to be fished on foot in Villerville all year round.
Dogs and horses regulations:
Dogs are prohibited from July 1 to August 31, from 9am to 7pm. However, dogs are allowed on the seawall if kept on a leash. Horses are not allowed on the beach.
