Further information

There are two sandy beaches in Bénerville-sur-Mer, that of Ammonites and that of Garenne. While strolling by the sea, you should not miss to observe the rocks which hide many fossils.

Located on the edge of Tourgéville, Garenne beach is the busiest in season. There is a pedestrian promenade by the beach, a lifeguard station open in summer, a kids' club, a restaurant and the possibility of renting mattresses and parasols.

The larger Ammonites Beach is located southeast of the city. It is partly bordered by the Yves Saint Laurent pedestrian promenade before becoming more wild (unsupervised area).

Access to the beach is via rue des Lais de Mer and its perpendicular streets (Avenue Saint-Michel Prolongée, Avenue Maréchal Foch, Avenue Victor Caillau).
You can park on Rue des Lais de Mer, Boulevard de Bénerville, Rue Pierre Roucher or Avenue du Maréchal Foch. Most parking spaces are free.
You will also find a semi-shaded parking lot on Avenue du Littoral, at the crossroads with Avenue du Général Leclerc, as well as a small parking lot in front of the Terrasse des Ammonnites, 16 boulevard de la Mer.
Access to animals is prohibited from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m. all year round.
Dogs are allowed on the Yves Saint-Laurent promenade when they are kept on a leash.

Each summer, 33 beach huts are available for rent per month or season from June 15 or September 15.
Bénerville-sur-Mer town hall:

The beach is monitored from July 1 to August 31 from 11:30 am to 18:30 pm, in two places: the Tourgéville aid station and the lookout at Ammonites beach.
