The Fighting Academy Club of Villers-sur-Mer, in a few words
A 1000m² gymnasium, large bay windows facing the tennis courts, around ten punching bags and an Olympic ring: welcome to the Fighting Academy Club. Established in the heart of Villers-sur-Mer Tennis Country Club, this club offers English boxing and kickboxing training, accessible to both novices and professionals. Launched in October 2021, it was created by Davide Nicotra, formerly at the head of the Deauville Boxing Gym, with the ambition of creating an association to promote the sport. During his career, he managed that of great champions: Estelle Mossely, Olympic champion in 2016 and IBO professional boxing world champion, Maxime Beaussire, European Union champion, Souleymane M'Baye and many others. others.

Different styles of boxes, for all levels

La boxing is today the most practiced in the world and uses only the fists. Focused on gestures, motor skills and cardio, the training is based on learning striking techniques (direct, uppercut, hook), dodging and movement. Getting into a guard position, positioning your arms, bending your legs and staying on your feet are some of the movements taught.
Conversely, the kick boxing solicits both the upper and lower limbs, thus widening the panel of authorized blows. More complete, it mobilizes the entire body and is available in several disciplines: Full-Contact, Kick-Boxing, French Boxing-Savate, Muay Thai (also called Thai boxing) and K-1.
The training program is spread over three days: from 17h30 to 19h for boxing and 19h15 to 22h for kickboxing Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
More sport in our lives
The web-series "More sport in our lives" is a realization of the City of Deauville, initiated within the framework of the Terre de jeux label and the dynamics of the Olympic Games. It highlights the sporting activity of the territory and helps to put more sport in our lives so that the 2024 Olympics are those of all French people. In Deauville, four facilities have been labeled official training sites: the Commander Hébert Stadium, Amusement Park, POM'S and Longines International Horse Center - Deauville.
International teams from twelve disciplines can be accommodated there until the Paris Games in 2024.
