Jean Lods

Guest at the 2017 Books & Music Festival

Born in 1938, Jean Lods spent his childhood and adolescence on the island of Reunion. Encouraged by Jean Cayrol and Raymond Queneau, he published in 1977 Water share. The first of five novels by Gallimard and Calmann-Levy, including The dead season selected in 1980 by juries from Renaudot and Femina and A few days in Lyon retained in the final selection of the Prix Renaudot 1994.
The last colonel (Editions Phébus) is his first novel published since this last book.
