Sail on a sailboat
with the Deauville Yacht Club

The Deauville Yacht Club organizes sea excursions throughout the year to take a new look, from the sea, on the magnificent coastline of the region.

Led by a passionate professional, embark on a sailboat from the port of Deauville and set sail in front of the beaches of the Côte Fleurie to discover sea birds and the cliffs of Roches Noires. You can admire the Seine estuary and its bay from Cap d'Antifer to Courseulles-sur-mer. A foray into Touques will allow you to embrace two neighboring towns, Deauville and Trouville-sur-mer.

Cross the estuary to the other bank of the Seine

Each year from May to September, a maritime shuttle offers the public to cross the Seine estuary between the ports of Deauville / Trouville-sur-Mer and Le Havre.

Embark on the speedboat in the morning, spend the day there, then return in the evening by the opposite route.

In addition to the practical side of the trip, allowing you to arrive directly in the heart of the cities and not have to worry about parking and traffic constraints, the crossings themselves are magnificent moments of discovery. Landscapes, infrastructures, architectures seen from the sea offer a completely different point of view!

Sail aboard the François Monique!

François Monique is from Brest harbor where it was built at the Chantier du Fret by Auguste Tertu. Its first launch dates from September 16, 1935. It was made for Hervé Salaün, scallop fisherman, who also harvested maërl (limestone sand) for soil improvement and red seaweed for fertilize the fields. In 2008, the old rig was bought by Franck Brize and repatriated to Deauville. He created the Petit Foc association and then began the restoration of the boat with the help of volunteers and grants from public organizations and local partners, giving it back its shellfish character in the harbor of Brest, with its colors and its rigging. 'yesteryear.
