The Men of Gospel will be in concert in Villers-sur-Mer on December 28 to present "A Christmas Celebration" with 13 of its singers. They will deliver Christmas songs and Gospel classics, contemporary or Negro-spirituals. With these artists, the audience will clap their hands and feet with enthusiasm and without restraint, letting themselves be transported to the heart of contemporary gospel.
Already known on the coast after a first passage noticed at the 2017 edition of the Festival Sable Show, they had conquered with their energy and won the prize of the public. They had thus returned the following summer to sing at the Perdrisot amphitheater, in front of the beach, on the occasion of the 30th edition of the festival.
After two successful summer concerts, the Men of Gospel come this time to sing in the Saint-Martin church, to propose a concert with a completely different acoustic and revisited Christmas songs, without forgetting Gospel classics, contemporary or Negro-spirituals.
When they perform, the Men of Gospel offer a powerful moment of sharing, thanks to their communicative dynamism, in line with contemporary Gospel creations.
Created in 2013 by choir director Keny Bran Ourega, the Men of Gospel group is composed solely of male singers. This innovative concept avant-gardist and unique in Europe, has already seduced lovers of music and gospel.
In their various musics, one finds all styles of music and more particularly that of the gospel, while passing by the contemporary gospel, urban gospel, gospel afro jazz soul, touching thus all the generations. Richard Smallwood, Kirk Franklin or Donald Lawence are part of the great artists who inspired them and marked their style.
In their rich musical career, we will note the concert at the Théâtre du Gymnase in Paris, their remarkable participation on the original soundtrack of Djamel Debbouze's film " Pourquoi j'ai pas mangé mon père "and the accompaniment on stage of famous artists such as Christophe Mae, Nana Mouskoury or Dany Brillant. They are also the regular backup singers for " La nuit des artistes " which takes place every year at the Mogador Theater.
Recognized as the major Gospel creation of 2016, the Men of Gospel are musical professionalism of the highest order.
